Winter Conditioning Program 2025-2026
Stone Bridge Rowing – Winter Conditioning 2025 — The Stone Bridge Rowing Team’s Winter Conditioning program is a vital part of preparing our athletes for success in the spring season. This structured program builds strength, endurance, and discipline — laying the foundation for a competitive and cohesive team.
This year, we’re continuing to emphasize a balanced approach that combines erg training, conditioning, and dedicated weight training sessions to enhance overall athletic performance.
Program Schedule - WINTER 2025
Dates: December 1 – February 27 (Spring tryouts: February 22–27)
Days: Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday (No training during Christmas Break)
Locations: Trailside Middle School – Erg training and conditioning (3 days per week) | Stone Bridge High School – Weight training (1 day per week)
Times: Trailside sessions: 4:30 PM – 6:15 PM (immediately after school) | Stone Bridge weight room: Time TBD
Given our commitment to building strong, well-rounded athletes, all team members are expected to fully participate in winter conditioning.
Athletes involved in other Stone Bridge High School winter sports should contact the SBRC coaching staff to discuss how to best prepare for spring tryouts in February. (Note: Per SBHS rules, athletes participating in another SBHS winter sport are not permitted to join winter conditioning.)competitive heights.
Communication and Registration
Details regarding dates, times, and locations will be provided through our new communications app, Band (details to follow).
Registration for Winter Conditioning opens November 3 and closes on November 28 at 11:59 PM.
Steps to Register
Register with the Stone Bridge Rowing Team:
Complete the registration form here: Stone Bridge Rowing Team Registration.
Register with the SBHS Athletic Department:
This is required to participate. Winter conditioning participants should register now for Spring Boys/Girls Crew.
Go to SBHS Athletic Registration.
Login or create an account.
Select Activity > Spring > Crew Boys/Girls.
Complete the required sections, including LCPS Parental Consent, Student Agreement, Emergency Card, Electronic Modalities Protocol, and Sudden Cardiac Arrest education (note that this includes a new mandatory webinar with a certificate upload).
Submit a Current Physical with SBHS Athletic Department:
Physicals must be dated ON or AFTER May 1, 2025.
